Following the conclusion of Phase 1 of the NMVS Pilot, NMVO Italy announces the launch of Phase 2 of the NMVS Pilot Project starting from June 2026.
Phase 2 involves the voluntary participation of a selected group of MAHs who will place commercial packs on the market compliant with the regulations set for the stabilization period. These packs will feature a GS1 Data Matrix code (under Ministerial Decree of March 6, 2025), an anti-tampering device, and the "Allegato B" Security Feature Carta Valori (under Ministerial Decree of May 20, 2025) produced by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.
The operational details governing Phase 2 of the pilot project are currently being finalized and will be issued by the Ministry of Health, to be subsequently shared via publication on its official website.
