With the introduction of the GS1 Data Matrix code and its coexistence with the current traceability system, it is essential to ensure that the scanner readers in use are correctly configured, updated, and fully compatible with the new 2D reading standards.

General Hardware Identification Guide
Users are advised to identify the exact device model in use:
Label Identification: Each scanner has an identification label usually located on the base of the handle (for handheld models), on the bottom of the casing, or inside the battery compartment.
Required Information: The label displays the Brand (Manufacturer), the Model Name and the Part Number (P/N or product code). This information is essential to locate the correct configuration guide or firmware update on the manufacturer's website.
